High blood pressure can be relieved by the help of different means but exercises are, without any doubt, very efficient. Physical activities from regular workouts are highly beneficial and hypertensive patients are strongly recommended to practice regular exercises several times a week. Even better option is to train under the supervision of a trainer or an expert as he or she will look after you and coordinate your periods of rest and training.

Aerobics can be your choice. It is a highly beneficial exercise that helps the body to consume more oxygen. Therefore toxic waste is removed from the body easier and endorphin secretion is improved. This all will make o feel a lot better. You can try water aerobics if you like it better.

Or walking – as it does not require much effort and is very useful for lowering blood pressure. Do not forget to breath in deep breaths and walk briskly. Give your preference to staircases and not lifts, go for a walk with your dog, or just for the sake of shopping. You will see how much better you will feel.

It is also a better way to create a connection to your deeper self. There is a lot of information about medication techniques and you can choose any you like and practice it either alone or with a teacher. Whatever you try be sure you will only benefit.

We all love chocolate, coffee and tea just as something to make yourself happy with or to find assistance before upcoming important event (i.e. an exam). Caffeine is considered a stimulant and therefore highly proper for such occasions when you should feel alert and energetic, not sleepy or drowsy. Tea and coffee has less caffeine than chocolate; the same is about soda and ‘energy’ drinks. But it is not useless if you will know about caffeine and blood pressure connection more.

Caffeine is a stimulant and therefore it makes us alert. But is also has another effect beneficial or harmful depending on the individual condition. It works by blocking the adenosine hormone leading to the widening of the arteries and raising blood pressure. Caffeine also produces higher levels of adrenaline. This also leads to the increase in blood pressure. These are the facts that are supposed to be true but they still require confirmation as the fact of caffeine intake and consequent high blood pressure are still debated.

Regular caffeine drinkers have less chances of development of hypertension than those who do not drink according to some researches. Moreover, with time coffee-addict develops tolerance to caffeine effects and it does not work as a stimulant with them any more. There is no need for a person with a normal blood pressure to restrict the intake of caffeine products; green tea is even considered to have a great antioxidant effect.

Therefore, high blood pressure patients should not consume caffeine products too much for fear of heart disease development risk. Thus, such people are recommended to consult a doctor on the account of these products administration. Apart from heart problems caffeine is able to evoke other complications in such patients.

It is also a fact that various caffeine-containing products can affect differently. For instance, coffee and tea are not considered drastic and therefore do not influence blood pressure much; but energy-drinks and sodas do.

Caffeine is considered a drug due to its prompt effect and therefore it can interact with blood pressure medications and evoke some side-effects. In order to avoid this blood pressure should be monitored constantly and caffeine intake measured by hypertension patients.

To cap it all it is important to remember that caffeine, though not increasing blood pressure, still is a risky thing and it is better not to consume it too much, especially this recommendation concerns people with blood pressure problems. There is no need to stop taking caffeine products abruptly as it can be fraught with some withdrawal symptoms; it is better therefore to gradually reduce the amount of the intake. Thus, there are still debates on the account of caffeine and high blood pressure connection.

High blood pressure, or hypertension, can be treated nowadays in an alternative way as well as with the help of medications. There are a lot of people who prefer this method and it is completely understandable as most medications have adverse effects and can lead to undesired complications. Sleepiness, impaired judgment, nausea and allergic reactions are infrequent after their administration. Alternative medicines contrariwise have not been so notorious and provide only relief from the condition.

Hypertension is not well recognized at first and can be confused with the consequences of stress and anxiety but it is only diagnosed only if a patient’s systolic blood pressure is higher than 240 mmHg and the diastolic blood pressure also rises at the same time, sometimes it goes above 120 mmHg.

Recurring headaches can be a symptom of malignant hypertension. This condition is fraught with such complication as kidney failure. Hypertension is also very dangerous if a person suffers from diabetes; it is able to aggravate the situation and make it fatal. Nor representing an illness as it is hypertension frequently leads to organ damage: strokes, heart attacks, problems eyes and kidneys. It should not in any case be neglected in pregnant women.

It is advisable and beneficial for hypertension patient to make some changes in their lifestyle. Especially this concerns overweight patients. It is also recommended to avoid salt and include more fruit, green vegetables and nuts into the daily allowance. It is also advised to try and reduce the level of stress as much as possible. Perhaps, it might be a problem to change a place of living for somewhere less noisy or a responsible job for something less restraining but, perhaps, health is more important.

In certain cases it is hard to do without antihypertensive drugs but, nevertheless it is possible to live normally without their assistance provided natural medications are used. Hawthorn, for instance, is considered useful in diabetic patients who displayed a reduction in their diastolic blood pressure during 16 weeks of its administration.

Hypertension can also be helped by consuming fish oil as it DHA, or docohexaenoic acid. The latter is able to lower high blood pressure considerably. Garlic is also very effective and also cholesterol-lowering in addition.

Yoga and a diet rich in calcium, potassium and magnesium can be also beneficial for hypertension patients. Biofeedback and other non-medical stress-reducing therapies, also Ayurveda provide a great choice of hypertension treatment varieties.

The most important thing to remember is that though herbal self-treatment is not dangerous it is not recommended to try it without any proper knowledge or consultation. There are herbs able only aggravate the condition (i.e. licorice, Ephedra, Asian Ginseng and essential oil of Rosemary) and therefore before starting the therapy go and consult the professional.

Everyone knows about high blood pressure (hypertension) because it is a quite frequent condition. But there is also a reverse condition called hypotension (or low blood pressure) and there are people who suffer from it as well.

To understand the concept of blood pressure it should be said that it is estimated by the pressure with which a heart pumps the blood away and the pressure of the blood coming into the heart; systolic and diastolic measurements correspondingly.

Our blood pressure is affected greatly by our lifestyle in the first place and also by stress and other factors. The definition of normal blood pressure has changed for a couple of last decades. It used to be 100/60 and now l20-l25/80-85 blood pressure is considered a norm. Correspondingly blood pressure exceeding 140/90 is already high and the one of 100/60 or less is a case of hypotension.

Low blood pressure can be impermanent and be evoked by a number of factors (i.e. dehydration, vomiting, diarrhoea, blood poisoning and anaesthesia). In this case blood pressure will return to normal in a period of time. But there are also chronic cases of hypotension. Its symptoms are the following: dizziness on standing up (this case of hypotension is called postural or positional), scarcity of energy, weakness, cold sensations in hands and feet, feeling of exhaustion, depression, a ’sinking’ feeling in the heart, dry skin, paleness, and some others. More serious after-effects include body aches and pains, hair loss, dryness in the mouth and eyes, low metabolism, poor bladder function and ability to sweat.

Perhaps people having hypotension suffer less than those who have high blood pressure and the first case is fraught with less severe complications and frequently requires little treatment. But nevertheless if you experience this condition for a prolonged period of time you should go and see a doctor.

Mind that your blood pressure can be affected by a wide range of factors. Let’s enumerate some of them: diuretics, fluid retention, anemia, an overdose of medications or the adverse effects, irregular heartbeat, blood clots, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, low estrogen, poor thyroid function, diabetes and what else. Unhealthy diet can also have its effect; wrong balance of mineral and salt can do it too; lack of activity as well.

There are some recommendations that can help to relieve the condition. A proper diet can make a great difference to the way you feel. Try taking some supplements and review your lifestyle habits. For more precise information and if you feel the need go consult your physician or other healthcare provider.

People who suffer from high blood pressure are generally treated with medications. But there are also a lot of natural ways to attend the condition. The first to mention is healthy foods, the ones that are able to lower hypertension (also called bp) if they are included into a person’s daily allowance and are consumed on a regular basis. They do not have any adverse effects as opposed to medications and they will be also beneficial for general health and well-being as well.

The mechanism of bp medications functioning is the following: they make the blood vessels walls to relax and therefore easing the blood flow and excessive amounts of sodium and toxins are washed away. But the reverse side of these drugs’ administration is that a person becomes dependant on them and has to stick to them for the rest of the life. Sudden termination in administration can be fraught with very severe complications. Therefore the best way is to include into your diet all the necessary foods and continue taking the proper medication.

Here is the list of foods that can improve the condition and decrease high blood pressure.

· First of all, magnesium rich foods are helpful. They include soybeans, green leafy vegetables, potatoes, most nuts, oatmeal, whole-grain bread, black eyed peas and halibut.

· Secondly, foods rich in potassium should be taken into consideration as they are able to lower your bp by 20 points. Potassium is found in bananas, spinach, poultry, melons, apricots, avocados, oranges, prunes, fish, apricots, milk, lima beans and tomatoes.

· Calcium rich foods should not also be underestimated. Salmon, tofu, orange juice, broccoli, dairy products, spinach and cereals contain calcium in full.

· Then, garlic. Yes, it can be inappropriate in some cases but it is extremely effective for bp as it is able to lower your systolic pressure by 11 points and diastolic – by 5 points if you eat at least four cloves a day.

· Good news for chocolate lovers – dark chocolate is also efficient in hypertension treatment; the more the cocoa the better.

· Finally, do not ignore cayenne pepper and green tea. Years of Oriental medicine tradition has proved their effectiveness long ago.

Follow these recommendations and include healthy foods into your diet. Not only you will notice the improvement connected with bp but you will, probably, loose weight and feel a lot better and healthier. Make a schedule for yourself where you combine and include all the products. Eat in small portions. It is healthier and will be more useful in any respect. Take fruit and dark chocolate as a snack; eat lean poultry meat or fatty fish rich in omega 3s served with vegetables or small amounts of carbohydrates for lunch or dinner. Try to adhere to the healthy scheme and in some period of time you will definitely see the improvement.

High blood pressure (also called hypertension) is quite a serious condition fraught with complications if not attended properly and in time. Perhaps, you should review your lifestyle and habits if you have any suspicion of it; otherwise it can end up with heart failure, stroke, or attack, also kidney failure and death.

Alongside with other measures exercises are great help in prevention of the condition. Workouts will help you to maintain a normal level of blood pressure. It is important that you do them regularly; and the whole thing will have even better effect if exercises are combined with a healthy diet.

But there is even more than that. Not only your blood pressure will get back to normal but also your general health will improve gradually; all due to simple regular exercises. Workouts will help you to keep normal weight (or loose some of it if there are any problems); it will make your heart stronger and sounder.

Aerobic exercises are considered the most appropriate. Walking, jogging, cycling, swimming and dancing are not that hard to exercise and they will bring you a lot of joy and positive thoughts. These exercises are remarkable in this respect as they enrich all the body processes with oxygen improving therefore the functioning of the cardiovascular system and other organs as well. Just make sure you consult your doctor on this account and also make sure that such exercises are indicated in your case and condition.

The best and, perhaps, the most innocent exercise to begin with is walking. No one will deny the benefit of it. A simple regular half-an-hour walk can make wonders. You will soon feel the improvements concerning your heart and pressure as well as your general well-being. Add a proper breathing and here it is – the solution to your problem. For those who do not have opportunities for outdoor trainings there are treadmills.

If you like something more energetic, then try jogging, or swimming. The latter is a great exercise and it will improve your blood circulation. Another alternative is dancing; yoga and breathing exercises are also considered good way out if you cannot do anything very strenuous; or any other sport that is not contraindicated.

Workouts and active way of life, in general, are beneficial in any age and as preventive measures against hypertension as well. They should not necessarily be very energetic; the major requirement is regularity.
